The Toilet paper monster

I got it ma’s!! It was big white and fuffy.  Ever wake up and find your bathroom full of toilet paper that is shredded everywhere.

Tommy is a mighty defender of his castle. Appears he was busy all night and proud of his accomplishments.

Winter in March

Well, here in NE PA we had a winter storm totaling 36 inches of snow at our home in PA. Bryon loves to plow his way through the snow .

After my great jaunt Ma’s had to clean the snow off the koi pond so the water fountain flows to maintain circulation to the fish. Prior to the storm we had warm weather melting the ice from the pond and fooling the fish to visit the top. They’re all accounted for. Dear Fish, Ma’s and I will see you after the thaw.

Bryon travels to New York for a hike in the Shawanagunk Mountains.

Welcome back!  August 2016 we ventured on a road trip to the Shawanagunk Mountains in New York State.  We drove up Route I 84 from Pennsylvania to New Paltz NY.

My human parents used to bring my human brothers here to rock climb when they were man cubs.

It is so beautiful here. The hiking trails are clean and easily accessible . Ma said back when they used to come here there were a lot of climbers and very busy.

Today the weather was a misty rain but warm. A lot of new scents in the air and the ground.

When you come into the Mohonk preserve there is a fee for humans. Dogs are welcome and must be on lead. Please be sure your pal has his/her vaccinations. Bring plenty of water for hydration.  There is parking and rest rooms before going to the climbing /hiking area.

Wear good sneakers, hiking boots or climbing shoes and comfortable clothing.  Bring a camera.

We had a great day if you have the chance to visit this area do so.

Thank you for visiting Travels with Bryon and a place that we used to frequently visit with our boys.

Ponytail beanie or beanie??

Hi! It’s been a while since I was at Bryons cafe. We’ve been busy. Barry and I ventured out on  some road trips with Bryon this past summer.

I must catch up and post on Bryons adventures. That beagle loves to travel.

My favorite was Shawanagunk mts. New York State.  We used to rock climb with our boys . This time we visited with our beagle Bryon.

Back to the hats. I love to knit. I’m  self teaching myself  to become creative with my own patterns. I’ve always liked making hats. Kind of a madhatter. Beanies to stocking hats. As the economy became difficult during the holidays I asked God to help me find a way to earn extra income.  Low and behold He heard me. I got a call from a co-worker asking ” can you make a ponytail hat? ”

After researching knit and crocheted patterns for ponytail hats I created a hat. To my surprise I ended up with many orders. Talk about answered prayer and extra income for Christmas.  I’m still making hats and beanies. The pictures are of some I made and sold.

I love working with different yarns. Loops and Threads are one of my favorite to work with. Love the colors. As for knitting needles I use Deborah Norville brand which I order on ebay. I did receive a request for cotton and I really liked the cotton. White was the choice and a couple of those went off to a co-worker who tye-dyes . That beanie came out really nice.
